And we will soon as this new figures based on 2006 census. We'll see what the 2011 census will tell us.

So with these figures, more reasons to stay in the shade and not daring to say proudly that we do not want to procreate. We are now the majority!

Some certainly choose to see this as a demographic problem and financially. I prefer to see the other side of it and think it's a big step towards the right of women to be accepted full same if they have no children and it can not harm the planet.

I give you a mission: the next time someone asks: "For when?" "Do you have children?" answer proudly: "No, I will not and I'm not an alien, more than half of Canadian couples are like me!" And wham, in the teeth!

Couples without children are happier ...

I think it is relevant at this time of the Valentine's Day, to speak of the couple.

One reason that makes me want to stay two in my home is my love to my spouse and the life we live together (in a restaurant full of dinners, trips more or less improvised, dodo at the time we like, evenings spent on the couch watching movies or TV series, endless breakfast on weekends, in pajamas, outings with friends and ... I could go on for hours.)

short, the couple is honored among my reasons for not wanting a child.

Well, some psychologists are also abundant in meaning, to cite item found Internet:
"In general, couples would be very happy after their marriage and just before the baby arrives, or during the period of impatience and idealization. But their happiness declines as the birth of The child, claimed the psychologist Daniel Gilbert of Harvard University for a conference in Sydney, there are only a few years.
And happiness of the couple took another blow when the child reaches adolescence, adds he said.
Only when the child becomes an adult and left home that the couple's happiness level increases again, supports the psychologist. "
