German carmakers are following the communicating car. This is the case of BMW, which for years has developed a strategy Connected Drive, but we must also reckon with Audi. The brand has the rings decided to merge under the name "Audi Connect" all the developments around the internet and communication board. In an increasingly connected and where information is obtained in real time, the Ingolstadt manufacturer could not stay away from this movement. It intends to provide the best multimedia and communicating equipment.
For those who do not know, for example, Audi is working with Google since 2005. That's what it can now offer features such as Google Earth, Google Maps and local search by Google on models such as A8, A7 Sportback and the new A6 (and soon the A1), using a 3G connection on board. Thus connected, the car can deliver the News "on line" on the weather.
Further developments are expected during the summer of 2011, as the traffic "on line" which we have already spoken on this blog, and just use speech recognition to local search Google without diverting look.
